Accept me as your protecter and murderer,
Time to behold the truth.
The truth of your own demise,
Can you not see my black tears as i cry for you?
Against my stone heart,
Feelings for you will never cease.
Trying to get you your death.
I can not bear your pain anymore,
As i watch you from afar,
Please take my bony hand,
To your shallow grave.
This is your final resting place,
Your holy altar,
I will never lead you astray,
Trust me and hold my hand.
Leading you into the dark depths,
Laying you down on your bed.
Now fall asleep my darling,
All this is just a dream.
The time will come,
but now sleep.
Live your life because i will come back for you.
Be patient for now.
Your dark angel of death shall come soon.

DAMN man this is pure grade KICKASS! I love this poem. I love the concept. I love the imagery. I love the whole thing.

I like how you conveyed the Reaper as our friend. Most people don't usualy think of him as that, but sometimes he can be our friend. Not in a suicide way, but in a way that sets us free from what we cannot free ourselves from. Like a war-torn land, or from a disease. I will not treat death as an enemy, but embrace it as a friend and saviour, leading me from this wretched world. (I'm not suicidal! thought I'd clarify!)
i really like this, it is pure grade kickass, definately. but, is the person narrating actually the grim reaper? i kinda got the feeling that the narrator was life telling us to lay down and fall asleep and that .. i don't know.. guess not. there is something jesus-y about this (in a good way): "live your life now because i will come back for you." sounds like your life is being lived in that grave, and soon 'whoever' will be back for you... i don't know.. i really like the poem though.
I love the way that you have portrayed death. It is so nice for someone else to think of him/her as the final healer and last refuge from pain. In the early religions, that's what he was supposed to be. So this is so great... I enjoy in mass amounts, and if it would be okay, I would really love to have this on my character sheet for a D& D character I have with the name of Douse Morte (sweet death)... She's kind of like the reaper, but in a good way... putting things that don't deserve to live out of their misery and what not.... She's a GOOD GUY! So yeah, again rockin poem.... MINE NOW! (only to the favories list and maybe to my char sheet with the proper permission, of course)

i went to an art show yesterday. and i saw this really ugly painting. the guy was asking for three thousand dollars... i thought to myself "huh... i could do that .... and i wouldn't even charge three thousand dollars..."

"...'cause i need to watch things die from a distance
vicariously i, live while the whole world dies
you all need it too, don't lie...
